I’m an American journalist who moved to London 2 years ago in pursuit of a Masters degree in Global Media & Communications. I got the Masters (in fact, I got two) but I didn’t go home. Instead, I’ve been pushing East–making first Shanghai and now Jakarta my home–and enjoying every minute of my exposure to different peoples, foods, languages, and the multitude of ways in which one can shout “stupid foreigner” at you.
Foreign Exposures is a little blog about the big world and my fortuitous place in it, which at the moment is floating in the South Pacific on the world’s largest island chain–a fact that still shocks me each day. The subjects covered here are purely for fun and personal documentation, so you can expect posts about food, travel and my fervent interest in new and global media.
